Staples (Carmel Mountain Ranch) is the most convenient location for me to drop off Amazon returns, but experience isn't welcoming. The front desk staff are usually quite friendly, but the staff on the Amazon return desk are always cold and unfriendly, verging on rude. You feel like you're a major inconvenience to them and they barely speak during the entire transaction. (Every time). On a recent visit, a blond woman came over begrudgingly from the print area to the returns desk, barely saying a word. Half way through my returns (I had multiple boxes), she walked away to help someone that had just walked up to the print desk. What the...? Hello! I'm just standing there, half way through my transaction wondering how long it will be until she comes back. Fortunately, after a minute, a woman from the back appears and continues with my transaction, but she is about as talkative and friendly as the first woman. On this trip, I went soon after opening and it wasn't busy, but very often I stand in line behind a few customers for several minutes. On the plus side, parking is plentiful, they have long hours and after your return, you get a coupon for the store. I constantly wonder what happened to friendly customer service as it absolutely seems non-existent most of the time nowadays. It really doesn't take much to greet people with a smile, a 'Good Morning' and some small talk pleasantries.

Management failure Needed change yesterday 2-10s or 4- 5s at 5pm no change available this is a Friday. Employees where polite all my years of people caring and no cash available. Totally wrong, store looks empty maybe the end is soon. Craig 4s Ranch

I had passport photo taken here. The clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. Very happy with the service!!

Avoid this Staples location for Clear and/or TSA PreCheck. Even though the Staples website and signs inside the store explicitly state that "No Appointment is Needed," we were turned away. An extremely disgruntled employee refused to help us and claimed appointments are mandatory. Do not trust the signs; save yourselves time and go somewhere else.

I wasn’t very happy about going to this branch before, mainly because of the bad customer service. However, ever since I started going during Olena’s shift, everything has been smooth and efficient. Olena always has a smile on her face and treats customers in a very professional manner. I would like to sincerely thank her for providing the best customer service to the community
