Here is a comprehensive and detailed negative review incorporating all of the specific details from your experience. It is written to be firm, clear, and professional while highlighting exactly who failed and who went above and beyond. --- **Review Title:** Appalling Behavior by Associate Eugene—Commendable Management by Ric and Ricky **Rating:** ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I frequent this Staples location quite often and understand that they are always busy, but my experience today, May 26, 2026, around 4:00 PM, was completely unacceptable. I am leaving this detailed account in hopes that management reviews the store footage from this timeframe to see exactly how customers are being treated. Upon arrival, there was a very long line. I stood in that line with my three children, waiting patiently. Eugene was the representative working the counter. By the time it was finally our turn, we were the fifth or sixth people he had served. When I stepped up, Eugene immediately asked what I needed in a very irritated, hostile tone. As I began explaining my request, he didn’t even let me finish—he literally walked away from me and my children without a single word of response to go assist another customer. He didn't say "excuse me," "give me one moment," or "I'll be back." My children and I were left standing there in absolute shock at the sheer lack of basic manners and professionalism. When he finally returned to the counter, I immediately requested a supervisor. He brought over a supervisor named Ric, an older Hispanic gentleman. Ric was incredibly attentive, professional, and apologetic. He actually witnessed Eugene's terrible behavior firsthand and promised me that he would report the incident to upper management. Unbelievably, while I was mid-conversation with Ric, Eugene chimed in with a very nasty attitude, saying, *"Do you want my help or not? Because if you do, I can help, if not..."* I cut him off and let him know that it didn’t matter whether he helped me or not—I am a customer, not a Staples employee, and I do not appreciate being treated with disrespect. I explicitly asked him not to speak to me again because his attitude was becoming entirely confrontational. Thankfully, Ric stepped in and asked another employee named Ricky if he could assist us. Ricky was literally on his way out the door for his lunch break, but despite being visibly irritated by his coworker Eugene's unprofessionalism, Ricky still put his break on hold to help us. He remained completely professional, took care of my family, and printed out my four copies without issue. I want to give immense credit to Ric and Ricky for saving an otherwise disastrous visit. They handled the situation beautifully. As for Eugene, he severely needs better training in customer service. If he does not want to be at work and cannot handle interacting with the public with basic human decency, he needs to stay home or become a business owner like myself so he can learn what true accountability looks like. Staples management, please review the footage from 4:00 PM today and address Eugene's behavior immediately.

Customer service at Staples has improved tremendously! The team is now attentive, friendly, and very patient. Oscar carefully handled my order and made sure my design was set up exactly right. Anthony went above and beyond during pickup, adding extra items for me, helping style and make suggestions and staying helpful and efficient—even right before closing. In the past, I’ve experienced unhelpful service near closing time, but this was the complete opposite. Both Oscar and Anthony were outstanding. Staples is lucky to have such great customer service professionals—I’ll definitely look for them again!

First time to this location, came in for the TSA pre check, small parking lot but had no problem finding parking. Day time didn’t feel unsafe. Friendly helpful staff inside. I was helped quickly, made my experience a good one. Would highly recommend and would return. Clean store and actually much larger inside than it looks.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS—NEVER USE AMAZON LOCKER After work, I arrived to pick up a Christmas toy for my godson, a toddler, who I’m seeing tomorrow before his family leaves town. I thought the Amazon locker was outside, but it was inside. Luckily there were plenty of people just inside by the Amazon locker, right next to the entrance—surely one of them could help me, right? Wrong. They opened their doors to leave and said they were closed. I said oh I’m sorry, I didn’t realize, I thought the locker was outside but I just have one package, and showed them my phone which was all ready to scan. They reiterated they were closed (lights on, store full of employees), and I said yes again I’m so sorry, this will only take a moment. I explained the circumstances—surely someone would understand, right? Wrong! Upon hearing that I had to pick up a CHRISTMAS TOY FOR A CHILD and it HAD to be tonight due to the aforementioned extenuating circumstances, the entire group of Staples employees shrugged and muttered more about being closed. I begged them to have a heart—it’s Christmas! And I had been lucky enough to catch them while they could still help me. They sneered in my face and locked me out. Don’t ever, ever expect to be able to use the Amazon locker at this Staples. And if you’re looking for a bit of holiday cheer this Christmas; a bright spot of customer service from someone willing to go the extra mile; a SHRED of humanity for a child who won’t have a Christmas from his godfather now—don’t expect to find it from this heartless crew.
