I came to shop at Michaels on S. Claiborne Ave. store in New Orleans. Uri, a customer service cashier was very courteous and most helpful. I am not used to using online coupons so she was very helpful in guiding me through the process. I just admired her smile and very friendly personality. It was a bright spot to my shopping day.

Terrible experience due to employees hovering around my friend and in the entire time while we tried to navigate through the pen section that was in all kinds of disarray. Not once were we offered no help at all. 0/10 service and experience🙃

Brandy in framing was awesome! She knew what I wanted to frame my Terrance Osborne art and we worked together diligently. We explored different framing techniques and decided in my tastes. Mandy was patient and we were fished in framing 3 pieces in less than 20 minutes. Timely pickup was also great!

Today I went to pickup my online order for some Ball brand mason jars as I need specifically that brand. The first girl was nice and gave me my order but when I walked outside I realized they were the wrong brand. I went back in and let her know and she called up this bigger older woman with dyed hair who was borderline abrasive with me but especially abrupt. She would interrupt me when I tried to explain that I understood what they were telling me, which was that when they scan the barcode the incorrect item that they gave me showed up. I tried showing her the email confirmation and the pickup details and brand that I had bought online and was supposed to be ready. Instead, she spoke down to me and was dismissive, and so unprofessional and immature as to make faces and roll her eyes to the customer behind me and both started laughing at me. I suggested that maybe it switched to an online substitution item because the ones I bought were out of stock. The first younger girl was nice enough to say that she has seen them before and went to look in the back. She came back and said they must be out of stock and so the older bigger woman started the return process before I could say anything. I just accepted it because I felt so humiliated by how she was treating me so poorly in front of other customers acting as if I’m completely stupid and finished out the return and left almost in tears. People have a lot going on and it’s a hard time for everyone in the world right now and it wouldn’t have take much effort to try and act decent instead of immature and callous. Unfortunately for the store, I will no longer bring my business here and will go to a different location or completely different chain or stores.

I love Michael’s and come often. Last time I was there, the girl at the register acted like it was a chore to check the price of an item for me and claimed she didn’t have a scanning device, then when she finally did it, she acted like I was putting her out. Then when I took out my other items, and wanted to have her ring them up, it was as if she couldn’t believe that I didn’t want to use the self service check out station, and as she rang up my stuff she huffed and puffed and like I was severely inconveniencing her. I don’t like writing bad reviews but I really can’t believe how badly I was treated during that interaction.
