Private Number 6 months agoI was treated like a neighbor, not just a paying customer. I took the bus to the Mapunapuna Fisher Hawaii to buy a last-minute replacement gift. After I got home, I had a question about my receipt, so I called and spoke to Noreen. Noreen took the time to make me feel heard. Then she told me she would check my question and call me back. She spoke to me as if she truly cared that I, as an individual, would have a solution and an experience that made me feel valued. She framed her whole conversation positively while remaining entirely genuine. I ended my call happier than before I shopped, and found that I was looking forward to my next visit to Mapunapuna Fisher.
Anna Ganey 5 months agoThis is definitely THE place to go for painting supplies. Their store in kakaako has slightly more things, but this is still much more robust than Ben Franklins.
Jesse Kabat 3 months agoThey have so many amazing supplies for me as a teacher. I usually make this my first business to support over corporate box stores.
Carly Ann Gomes Palmer a year agoThis was some time ago, I’m going to give them another shot. I had gone there so many times before, with no incident. On this day, the last time I was there. It was not crowded at all, I was (still am, I start new employment Monday Yay!) broke. But I am obsessed, obviously if I’m there buying far more pens then I could ever use in my whole life lol. When a cashier opened, already I was skeptical, it was a very young man. He was in the process of ringing up my selection, to which end I knew every price point, my strict budget. So I knew what $$ it would cost. Then darkness, power surge. Which is very common for that area. I don’t blame them for that. And myself, I have been in that cashier’s shoes before. I know the stress/ panic that hits when you’re literally cashing someone out and everything goes down. The power came back on, which is great because I drive pretty far to get there, think about that. I drive about 11 miles to get there. I would not make that effort if I did not have a good opinion of them, right? Seriously. Then this happens, the young man, in his panic and inexperience cannot get his pc to come back up. Another very young man comes to help and still they can’t. A older man, a manager, owner (?), comes by says sorry to me, it’s been over 15 minutes by this point and my empathy & patience have Waned. I want to go home. I’m standing there and the register next to us is taking people, those that came after me, I’m just standing there twiddling my thumbs. I finally grab my stuff and jump over to the open register thinking my problems are over. She rings me up. A very young lady. When did everyone get so young I wondered? She tells me how much $. I am a bit confused by the total but by this time I had been there over 20 minutes in line or at a dead register and I wanted to go. As I was walking to my car, I realized She over charged me. I said to myself you have got to be kidding. I turned back around and marched up to the only adult in the front. A woman a little older than I. I admit I was upset. I felt like my patience, my time, my kokua was taken advantage of and to top it off they overcharged me. A poor unemployed woman! Like seriously. I asked her if she was a manager cause she certainly acted all bossy-pants (a Pocho lady) as she walked around. She said no. I said well, can you please get the manager? In that situation, if was me I would’ve said I’ll get the manager, not wait for me ask. Right? Cust serv 101 When a gentleman comes, I said hello, I was here. Remember, I ended up being stuck over 20 minutes for pens while others were being checked out before me. Others who came after me.- There obviously is no managerial support in the front.- If there was, the right thing to do, would be to step in and before a new customer comes insist I be helped first at the functional and open register. That is what you do in customer service. Cust Serv- 101! Anyway, he didn’t, and I handed him my pens and the receipt. And I said I want you to see what I paid and I want you to add it up (the items I handed him) properly and I want to see what you have to say after that. I was not happy and I let it be known. Look I am the most humble most understanding person you will have. 20+ years in the game for Cust service. I will always be on your side when I see you trying. But, there is a point when it is enough. Customers shouldn’t have to go through what I did. I don’t understand why in life I never get the service I put out. I just don’t get it. Anyway, he and the woman looked at me like I was crazy and I don’t care. Honestly, I don’t. They are not paying my bills& neither is anyone who reads this. He came back I was overcharged and they gave me the difference. It was not a huge amount. Like $2.00. It was the principle! I was NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE THERE, tbh, I had never known true hunger before. Like real hunger. It ends up being painful after a while. I have learned Some very hard lessons in life, I deserve no less service than others when I spend $. Just saying. Pls carry Happy Planner gear!
Ernie P. 6 years agoThis is where teachers go to spend their school's or thier own money to buy classroom and school supplies. Popular for families to buy school supplies also. Completive prices and a wide array of home, school, and office supplies. They also sell office furniture. Can be busy this time of the year, but parking attendants will guide you and there is a bigger lot on the warehouse side if the building and a smaller lot on the storefront side of the building.
